One-Click Formatting for Google Docs · Last updated: 22/07/2026
This privacy policy explains what the “One-Click Formatting for Google Docs” browser extension (“the extension”) accesses and how that information is used.
When you click Apply, the extension uses the Google Docs API to read and update the Google Doc open in your current browser tab. It reads the document’s structure (paragraph styles, lists, links, and tables) to apply your chosen formatting, and writes formatting changes back to that same document. This happens only for the document you have open and only when you choose to apply a preset.
The extension requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/documents scope for
this purpose. Access is granted by you through Google’s standard sign-in prompt and can be
revoked at any time in your Google Account permissions.
All processing happens locally in your browser. The extension does not send your document contents, document text, or formatting presets to the developer or to any third-party server. There is no analytics, tracking, advertising, or profiling.
Your saved formatting presets are stored using Chrome’s storage.sync, provided
by your own Google account so your presets follow you across the browsers where you are signed in.
The developer does not have access to this data. No document content is stored by the extension.
The extension does not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties. No user data is transferred to the developer.
Presets remain in your Chrome sync storage until you delete them within the extension or clear them through Chrome. Uninstalling the extension and clearing its storage removes them.
